Announcing My Debut Flash Fiction Chapbook

My debut flash fiction chapbook, CALL MY BODY A CAUTIONARY TALE, will be published by Thirty West this Fall!

These stories include folklore, speculative fiction, ghost stories (three I think), sad girls, and more. I cannot wait for it to be out in the world πŸ’œβ˜ οΈπŸ’ƒπŸ‘©β€πŸ’»

Christina's bio and headshot

This book includes my first ever fiction publication, published by HAD in April 2021 as well as fiction I wrote as recently as right before Christmas.

This chapbook has been years in the making between drafting, editing, revising, submitting, then revising again after a series of rejections. The process took longer than expected but allowed for the book to find the right home.

You can listen to me read the opening story, I was born a half-formed thing, that was recently reprinted in Trash Cat Lit here.

Listen to me talk more about this story, writing during difficult political times, and more on a DC Public Library Podcast here.

These stories would not exist without the DC literary community, workshops with Kathy Fish, and SmokeLong Quarterly’s SmokeLong Fitness workshops!

New Flash Fiction Publication in HAD

I earned my second skull from HAD after years of trying to get into their competitive submissions calls before the cap is reached! This piece explores the hellscape that was the Super Bowl ads we were forced to witness while watching neither team score. It’s a fun one!

A little teaser for you:
